NaPoWriMo: Day 16

We have a propensity to think that people are what we see, but really people are what they do.  And you remember how they make you feel.

What Really Matters

That guy, he had a crazy eye.

A ruby tooth.

A hook stuck where his hand should be.

A curly leg,

An L-shaped smile,

His words buzzed like a bumblebee.

The girl, she had a lapis eye.

A snowdrift smile.

A torso like a willow tree.

Fruit stained lips,

and slopey hips,

a raisin where her heart should be.

Of the two,

I loved him best,

because the sun shone from his chest.
