NaPoWriMo: Day 7

I walked in the cemetery

along a shady path

with a tulip magnolia

and trees dripping with wisteria.

The wind took my hat,

and it went tumbling

 along the headstones to rest

on a little heart-shaped piece of granite.

Little lamb at rest,

You know much better than I,

how easily the world can skip away

with whatever it pleases.

But it leaves us with violets.

Everywhere, violets.
